Apple's Short Fall with Multitasking in iPhone OS [Published]

Apple fell short this time with iPhone OS 4.0 multitasking. As I was highly anticipating a true multitasking platform to make it to iPhone OS, I was let down again. I can still here Steve Jobs saying, "Now, we weren't first to this party, but we'll be the best. Just like cut and paste. Other people had cut and paste before we did, but everybody, as I widely believe, is that we just nailed it." This statement was made after the announcement that multitasking will be added to the platform. I can remember feeling very excited and almost even to the point of emotional. I couldn't wait to hear. NO!...I longed to hear more about multitasking. I couldn't wait to see what innovation Apple developed this time. Would it be expose style with thumbnails of all open windows?
